Now that it is February, it seems that the gym has become deserted once again. Many people that made a resolution to become healthier in the New Year have lost motivation in this dreary winter weather. Are you still going strong? Or has it become too tempting to stay in your nice warm bed for an extra hour?
I can definitely relate! I have a major case of the winter blues. Due to the extreme cold and snow, I have been forced inside to run on a treadmill. No matter how hard I try, I’m just not one of those runners who can go outside no matter the weather conditions. There are too many things that could go wrong for me like catching a cold, slipping on ice, you catch my drift.
So I have been reduced to running in the gym on a treadmill. Let me tell you, by mile 5 I am BORED out of my mind and truly feel like a hamster. This has caused me to lack motivation and, some days, dread getting my run in! In order to remedy some of my boredom, I made my ultimate running playlist. Having the right kind of music can drastically change your mood during your workout.
Now, normally, I am a country music kind of girl. BUT when I am working out, I like to get my groove on 🙂 . So, I tend to enjoy up-beat pop music.
