Can you believe that Spring Break it just around the corner?! It’s hard to accept with how long and crazy this winter has been. One thought getting me through this crazy weather is planning a Spring Break trip.
I know many families use their Spring Breaks to escape to warmer weather and take their children to Disney World. I remember when my husband and I took our daughter to Walt Disney World for the first time. She was SO excited! We wanted to make the trip amazing and memorable for her. We rode a ton of rides, had breakfast with the characters from Aladdin, and stood in line for hours just to see Barbie. Yes you read that right, Barbie not Mickey Mouse. My daughter was OBSESSED with Barbie when she was little.
Unfortunately, trying to make your child’s Disney experience as amazing as possible can be extremely expensive. Between the cost to get into the parks, lodging, food, and any other additional activities it can all add up very quickly. That is why I think it is such a great idea to find free activities for the evening time.
One thing that most Disney resorts offer every night is outdoor movies. The movies change every night and the locations vary based on the resort. If you are camping at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground, your family can enjoy making s’mores at the camp fire, a sing-a-long, and watch a great Disney movie. Many of the other resorts have the movies playing around the pool or on the beach! Imagine how awesome of an experience it would be for your child to watch Finding Nemo while sitting on a beach. That is something they will remember for years to come!!
The best part about these outdoor movies is that they are completely FREE and you don’t have to stay at the resorts to take part. That also means that if you want to watch a different movie or watch in a different setting, you can and it will cost you nothing! To find out what movies are scheduled, simply as the front desk or call (407) 939-2273.
