2. Ravishing Rust Removal

No need to purchase a separate common kitchen cleanser that can run upwards of $5.00. Your eraser will handle this trick well and without fumes!

4. Dazzling Dishwashers
Banish rust and lime stains inside of your dishwasher. Just take an eraser to them and the stains will vanish. Keeping your dishwasher clean from build up with lengthen its life and boost its cleansing power! You save as much as $7.00 by not needing to purchase fancy dishwasher cleansers!

5. Va Va Voom Vinyl

6. Classy Car Interiors
Clean up those filthy cars without a trip to an auto detailer. Clean the car seats with an eraser block – just go lightly on leather (it’s okay on fabric and viny), and lightly scrub the car steering wheel. Paying for a card detail to do the same can cost as much as $125.00.

7. Huba Huba Hubcaps
Clean your car’s hubcaps with an eraser for a water-free car wash. This feature when done at a car wash can cost an extra $10.00 or more. Put a little free elbow grease and a magic eraser into it instead. Watch the savings add up.

8. Glass Stove Tops
Make those stove tops sparkle! No need to have special stove top cleaner on hand, get rid of burned-on food by lightly scrubbing until the gunk is gone. Products that do the same job (and also have harsh fumes) can run as much as $6.00!

9. Dishes and Glassware
Rub hard-to-clean build-up off of thrift store dishes and glassware with your eraser. This will give your piece new life and save you money on replacement costs. They will look as good as new.

10. Fabulous Furniture and Toys
Clean grimey white resin or white painted furniture by lightly scrubbing with an eraser cleaning block. The eraser gets into crevices and cracks while leaving paint finishes intact. The same principle applies to outdoor plastic toys! They will all look fresh and new and you won’t have to purchase new products to replace them. The savings here can be huge and in the hundreds of dollars!

11. So Long Scuff Marks
Erase scuff marks, old paint drips, and other blemishes from your floors with your eraser. Products designed to do the same can cost as much as $10.00! No need to invest in anything fancy and pricey, just get your eraser and get to your knees and get scrubbing.

12. Goodbye Grout
The eraser does well with most grout and again you are avoiding nasty fumes. Just scrub away at the dark grout until it comes clean. Cleaning services will charge you as much as $25.00 an hour to do this task and home cleansers can run as much as $6.00.

After seeing these tips, can you believe how far your $2.00 magic eraser investment will take you? When you add it up, you can see that  investment can save you hundreds of dollars in the long run. Many people think that the generic erasers work just as well as the name brand, so feel free to experiment. These are available for as little as $1.00 at your local dollar store. You too will find yourself keeping these erasers as a staple item in your home as they replace so many other products that you use to need. Your magic eraser can replace these products and put some extra cash back in your pocket while you are at it.

Magic Erasers are miracle workers! I absolutely love them. My favorite use for them is cleaning the bath tub. It is so easy and fast compared to any other product I have tried. They are also great for cleaning scuffs from the walls. I go through Magic Erasers like mad!

How big would the magic eraser need to be if you clean the whole bathtub or the whole two shower tile walls (I have 2 tiled walls and 2 glass walls on the shower ?
I have never seen large magic erasers ?

To let you all know, you can get a generic version at Amazon, just look for “melamine foam”, they will run you about $7.00 for 60.

It is my understanding that magic eraser CANNOT be used on highly polished surfaces like granite counter tops, fiberglass tub/shower enclosures, hardwood floors, chrome, stainless steel, brass, etc. Is that correct??

i have used magic eraser to clean my glass shower door, (i sprayed tilex soap scum remover first), i’ve used it on my chrome dishwasher. I loved the results. i DO NOT recommend using it on hardwood floors ( i did this- it dulled the clear coat. i DO NOT recommend new fiberglass showers – i use it on my 10 year old shower surround and 10 year old basement shower. i love the results! i also had dulling on my dining wall ( black scuff marks from chairs on white walls-(satin finish paint) a little dulling.

Here’s another use…they work great, if not awsome, as an eraser for “dry erase” memo or calendar boards. The erasers that usualy come with them never really erase the brighter color(dry erase) pens wthout leaving a ‘shadow’ behind. But the “magic” ones leave it clean as a whistle, with nary a memory of what was wrtten before!!

I love magic erase too, but a chemist at the local university said they are extremely poisonous and should be handled with gloves and wash the surface you cleaned with water. I use magic erase on white running shoes; they look Like new shoes and they’re a few years old.

An even better way to save a lot of $$, is to make your own ‘Magic Errasers’ we use them for EVERYTHING!! So even though they are only $2 a piece.. Those things break down pretty quickly and disappear to practically nothing! So something I actually found on Pintrest while using the search feature is the material they use to make the Magic Errasers.. I forget the name of it but it is commonly used for construction/home improvement projects.. Just search for home made Magic Errasers to find out the name of the material.. You can order a VERY VERY large block of the material for about $12-$15 on Amazon and you just simply cut them into the appropriate sizes for your family.. This large block should last you well over a year!! And it’s literally the SAME EXACT PRODUCT that you pay over $8 for just 4 Magic Errasers.. Once you find out the name of the material, you can also call around to all of your different home improvement stores to see if they carry it.. But I’ve found the best price to be on Amazon.. This SAVES YOU SOOOOO MUCH $$$!!! Happy Cleaning! ????

Ok, so I just looked up the name of the material that’s used to make Magic Errasers.. In continuation from my last comment.. It’s called Melamine Foam! And you can also purchase a very large box on Amazon that is the same size block but already precut into Magic Erraser size for you.. It’s a couple dollars more but saves you the headache of having to cut the large block down yourself…. And waaaaaaay cheaper than buying the store brand!! Should last you forever! ????

I used the Magic Eraser on my copper sink and it made scratches on it. Had I known that would happen I wouldn’t have used it. Is there some way I can get the scratches out? Couldn’t figure out what made the scratches till I was doing some research and discovered it on Pinterest. Would appreciate any help if there’s an answer. I just had the sink installed this last year so was pretty upsetting.
    Thanks!
