Ulta Coupon Hacks

Ulta Beauty is one of the top retailers when it comes to makeup, hair care, and other beauty products. But with so many places to shop for cosmetics these days, it can be hard to see which stores offer the most savings. And for a place like Ulta Beauty, there are a ton of different ways to save – but where do you start?

We asked our Dealspotr community – including some pro coupon bloggers – their Ulta Beauty savings hacks. Here’s what they said:

Sign up for their rewards program

The first thing anyone should do – according to multiple Dealspotr users – is sign up for the Ultamate Rewards program. This offers you points for your purchases, as well as the opportunity to go Platinum by spending $450 or more over 1 calendar year. The real perks though, thanks to Jenilee Dunson of the blog Geeky Sweetie, come in your birthday month.

My absolutely favorite Ulta Beauty Tip is to sign up for their birthday club. Once you’re signed up you’ll get an absolutely free cosmetic item on your birthday each year. And if you’re a platinum member, you’ll get two free items. Can’t beat free!!! Plus for the entire month of your birthday, you earn 2X reward points for all purchases made in your birthday month. You can use reward points to redeem for even MORE free items!! :) And throughout the rest of the year, you still earn reward points for qualifying purchases, and it is free to join their rewards program. :)

Stack coupons for big savings

Ulta Beauty is one of the national retailers who allow coupon stacking, and giveawaylover wants you to take advantage of that. Pair store and manufacturer coupons with rebate apps to maximize your savings.

Quadruple your coupon savings by combining manufacturers coupons, Ulta in-store coupons, Ibotta and Checkout51 rebates … Pair an Ulta coupon with manufacturers coupons and don’t forget to submit your receipts for any qualifying products via the Ibotta and Checkout51 apps. To get started sign up for the Ultamate Rewards Program, which usually sends out a 20% off coupon to new registrants. You can get great deals on makeup, beauty tools, sunscreen, shampoo, hair care, etc!

Look out for “Free Gift with Purchase” offers

Like a few other beauty retailers, Ulta Beauty regularly offers free gifts with purchase. But thanks to One Frugal Girl, we found an even bigger Ulta savings hack – even if you return the items you’ve purchased, you get to keep the samples!

Ulta is constantly running “free product” promotions where you can receive a free product when you purchase a specific item or spend a specific amount. Some of these promotions include “get a free product sample with any purchase,” “get a free gift with any specific product/brand purchase” and “get a free gift when you spend a certain dollar amount.” You might not know that you can find these deals by searching the Ulta website for “gift with purchase.” In store you can also ask your cashier about deals before checking out. You will find a wide range of promotions to choose from. And it seems kind of crazy but if you return an item that included a free gift with purchase you actually get to keep the gift. I don’t know of any other stores that offer that.

Check the “Sale and Coupons” page before you buy

As we’ve learned in our recent fashion shopping habits survey, today’s teens like to “window shop” online before heading into the store to complete their purchase. Take a page out of their book with this Ulta Beauty savings hack from Tiffany O, and visit the sales page before you shop.

Before you go into the store or before you purchase a product online at Ulta, make sure that your first stop is the savings and coupon page. There are over 40+ discounts and BOGOs on items that you would have probably put off if you didn’t know that they were on sale. The Ulta app advertises the same discounts and promos for those on the go.

Lindsay, of the blog Broke and Beautiful, adds:

I keep lists of products I’m interested in and organize them by brand so when it goes on a “Buy One, Get One 50% Off” sale, I can save a huge amount on my order.

Look for the printable coupon of the week

An Ulta Beauty savings hack that is a little up to chance is the “global Ulta coupon.” While the value of this coupon might change, it will always be located at this link. At the time of publication, the coupon was offering the deal that Alex White has listed below.

The #1 hack is a coupon that’s always floating around the internet. [This week] it gives you $3.50 off your purchase of $15 or more … it’s basically free money.

You can read more Ulta Beauty savings hacks on this forum thread. We’d like to congratulate Jenilee Dunson for winning the $25 Ulta Beauty gift card for sharing the most helpful and original savings tip! Check out this week’s contest for Michael’s and enter to win a $25 gift card here.
