New Beer Rebate

I found another beer rebate today. Get up to $5.00 by mail from Dos Equis with the purchase of $5.01 worth of snacks(chips, peanuts, popcorn, and/or pretzels). NBPR in AL, AR, CT HI, IN, KY, ME, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OK, UT, OR WV. Expires 3/31/10. If you don’t know about beer rebates, read here to see how you can fund your groceries without buying beer.

Do you mail in rebates? Do you keep track of them? I complete a lot of rebates and it does require some tracking. I usually keep a record of the name of the rebate, the mailing date and the amount due in a notebook. I also photocopy all receipts and forms prior to mailing the rebates. I have never had a problem with not receiving a rebate but I want to make sure that if there was an issue that I could contact the company and follow up with them. If I didn’t have the paperwork, I would have no leg to stand on with them. Beer rebates are one of my favorite rebates and a great way to purchase groceries for free. Beer Rebates – An Easy Way to Get Food for Free!

I have recently discovered that beer companies will fund my groceries/debt reduction through beer rebates! If you live in one of the following 14 states, be ready to save! In AL, AR, CT, HI, KY, ME, MD, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OK, UT and WV, you are not required to make the stated beer purchase in order to receive a rebate.

Recently, I spotted a Heineken rebate at the cash register at my local Kroger store. I asked the cashier if I could have one and when I got home I read it. Sure enough, the rumors I had been hearing about beer rebates was true. Beer companies would really fund some of my grocery purchases since I live in Kentucky.

The rebate I found stated:

Get $20 back from purchasing two 12-packs of Heineken, Heineken Light, or Amstel Light AND $30 worth of premium crackers, cheeses, salty snacks and/or fresh deli items

Get $10 back from purchasing one 12-pack of the same and $20 worth of the other items

Since I didn’t have to buy the beer, I simply had to buy $30 in crackers, cheeses, salty snacks and/or deli items. When I combined these items with coupons and sale prices, the $20 rebate fully paid for the $30 in food purchases.

I am currently working on a Coors Light beer rebate (found here – there are 4 different rebates. Find the one that applies to your state) that will fully pay for my tostitos, salsa, and Mountain Dew.

Apparently, beer rebates will often pay for meat and seafood. I can’t wait to find one of those rebates! The neat thing about these rebates is you can often submit more than one receipt and you can purchase your food items from any store you wish. Look for these rebate forms around beer displays, on blogs, on eBay, and websites.
